THE HISTORY OF SOF…
A few years back turk, dark, scout, slabs, smiley, chuck, and a few other old members of the clan were in an old clan called ecu, the elite commando units, old leader of it was jet(many stories about him that are hilarious). When we all joined the clan, we weren’t the best of the players or the most experienced, but the clan brought us together and taught more on how to be a team, but that clan originated the sof you know now. It was originally me and dark who thought of the idea to break apart and start our own.( two founders of sof). For about a week or two, while we were still in ecu we were thinking of names we could think of for the new clan we would start. Eventually dark came up with the idea of -SOF- the soldiers of fate. A week or two passed by and we asked former member smiley to be in the clan, and he accepted. We were the first 3 leaders of sof Dark, Smiley, and Turk. We started recruiting, we recruited some so so players here and there, but no one that we could find dedicated or committed enough to stick with us, until we found a kid named chuck, chuck became the first “real member” of the clan, then eventually becoming the first general, and then clan leader. When chuck joined we were still recruiting, and started trying out our first scrimmages, none of them went too well. As the weeks passed we started getting good recruits as our clan became more known. People such as leach, cheese, daredevil, and Ian (ian was the original maker of our webs) started coming in our clan. But we still weren’t doing so well. So we decided to step it up a notch, we started to practice and meeting up in dedicated servers, cause at the time none of us had any dedicated servers, we met in a lot of servers but the biggest sof hangout by far was an old server called crowd pleaser. Eventually we started getting better and getting our first wins. We were starting to get people recruited from other clans, such as current clan leader Zion. We also noticed some of our prime players shooting up on the leader boards. We finally started earning respect from the bigger clans like dsa, jko, dsm, jsa, etc.. But one day a battle took place, against a clan named aod, the angels of destruction, we were a very evenly matched clan, but after that game fighting broke out between our two clans. After that battle they became our rivals, enemies. Eventually it got to the point where we would have council meetings with the leaders and officers, and declared an official war on aod. The war was very horrible to our clan, taking members from us, having to find our own brothers as traitors, corruption, and spies. In fact we even started a spy team, the two leaders of it were former member general Shadow, and current clan leader, Turk. We made fake names to try and get in there clan, and when we would get recruited we would learn their strategies, passwords, and helping them lose in there own clan battles. soon after, one of the officers in our clan, shadow, was found as a traitor. We kicked him out and had to stop recruiting. Eventually people started to quit, give up. Everyone thought that our clan had died, and that aod won the war. But they didn’t , there was still a good few of us left. The only sof members commited and strong enough. In fact, these players were so strong , we started to become a top clan, starting sort of our golden era. We named ourselves the -OLD SCHOOL SOF-

During this time we became better individually, and as a team, we started winning countless battles. By this time Aod was destroyed and driven out of the game and having their leader, Reaper quit the game, from his loss. Ever since then our clan was running much more smoothly. But soon enough trouble struck the clan again. Summer of 07, turk and a few other leaders didn’t play for about 2 months straight leaving it up to the captains and generals to run the clan but it didn’t turn out so good. People started to leave the clan, no one was recruiting and on top of that 2 of our prime players, dark and smiley, left the clan to invent a new clan called TSK, the Silent knights, which Daredevil soon left to join also. By that time sof was starting to weaken, having everyone think that we were finally done for. Former member shadow payed another visit to us destroying our site, him and a few unknown friends leaving us with no outer communication. He is now looked down upon in this clan. People started to think that we were finally done for, but we weren’t, if it wasn’t for a few members such as, Haku, Zion, and leach this clan might not still be standing today. They stood up and showed there bravery and how well they could lead in times of trouble, which led to zion becoming a clan leader after that. By the time the leaders came back there was about 6 players left in the clan, originally starting at 23 players. But surely enough we fought back and recruited and put up another website formally known as http://www.sofgaming.co.nr/. And thankfully dark and smiley came back supposedly from being homesick and missing the times of making fun of chuck and being grossed out by daredevil. We were doing better than ever, and we decided to join the famous 6v6 class specific competition on http://www.sonicarmy.com/. We prepared our asses off. We versed some very well known teams such as CVC, RABID, AND DSF. We versed cvc first and won by a landslide if I do remember right. After that win we were looked differently because most favored cvc to win on that one. Our next battle was against one of the most famous clans in the game (RABID), they were a very cocky group thinking they didn’t even need to train for us. But in the end we beat them fair and square and if I might add, we did pretty well against them too. When we beat them it made their whole clan irritated so they asked us for a rematch, and of coarse we took it. We knew they would be harder this time so we trained harder. We won again bringing their cockiness down a notch leaving us at number 1 on sonic army 6v6. By this time we were known as one of the best clans in the game, leaving us to our final battle, DSF. For those of you that don’t know DSF should look them up, they are a very brutal and good clan. We had 2 weeks of preparing for them, all we did was train and look over strategies. This was by far the most epic battle sof has ever had in their whole 3 years of history. We had our prime players in that battle, Zion, Smiley, Dark, Chuck, Vulcan, and Turk, I guess you could say our elite team at the time. It was a 5 map battle, the first 4 maps were very hard, leaving us with 2 wins and them with 2 wins, the last battle I can clearly remember, the battle of polis massa. This game was down to the numbers here, it was almost like a movie it was so close. In the beginning we were losing horribly down by about 150 reinforcements, with only one base that almost got taken 3 times. We were getting very irritated and angry which threw us off and making us play worse. But we took the time to think about what this clan battle ment. So we fought, we fought so hard we drove them back to the opposite direction leaving it to where they only had one base left and We had the high grounds. The only problem was we only had 15 reinforcements left and they had about 100, but they were losing reinforcements fast. We all took defensive modes and tried not to die, by the time we had 9 reinforcements left they got down to about 60. We were fighting for our lives, I remember at that time I was so focused I literally felt like I was in the game. But at the end of this heartbreaking battle we lost, 0 reinforcements to about 10 reinforcements. I didn’t know what to say, I felt like I was going to cry. The battle took place for about an hour-2 hours. We might’ve lost that battle, but we still stayed at the top of sonic army. Leaving it at the end of the tournament with us at the number 1 spot with a record of 3 wins and 1 loss. After this horrible feat we all started thinking about changing our name from Sof to .+Sik+.( soldiers in kommand). We all pretty much took a vote and it turned out everyone wanted the name changed. leaving us with another new website formally known as, http://www.sikgaming.co.nr/. One of the big chapters of this clan was the disappearance of one our old prime member chuck so far he has been missing for about 4 months and counting. To make a long story short that was about it in that chapter, Sik only ran for about 2 months then we switched back to Sof, leaving us with our final site, http://www.joinsof.co.nr/, which is an old sof site that we made in 2006 with the same adress name. We started to settle down then and we were thinking of next generation gaming and new consoles. A few of us started to play battlefield modern combat 2, we had a few good players on there especially Zion, but other than that we didn’t do nearly as well as we did on star wars. So we decided to quit battlefield and to come back to star wars, with a new general, cyclone helping us lead the clan. In fact by the time we added cyclone as general hes been helping everywhere, hes already building us back up on star wars along with a few others. After cyclone helped build up our star wars squad, anger got the best of some of the members and caused them to leave SOF, they split out and created PWN. PWN and SOF had shit talked each other for a long time until SOF proved they had more battle savvy. Eventually PWN fell apart, and some of the members re joined SOF, with the addition of some new ones. After some of the clan started getting ps3's, SOF remained on Star Wars Battlefront II. New members were recruited such as PhaLanX and Demon Blade and new players. As SwbfII was dying, SOF was still standing strong. PhaLanX quickly proved to be a good leader to SOF. On the Ps3 system, cyclone decided to get Cod: Modern Warfare. New recruits were gained, but loyal and dedicated ones were hard to find. When Cod: World at War came out Chuck and Cyclone started a squad on gamebattles recruiting players like Morphiine and Blaze212 and other anonymous players like qwertyuiopk. The gamebattles team was unsuccessful in winning. Going 5-12 was not our goal, leadership was rare as well. So the team was disbanded on gamebattles. Rumors came around that a SWBFIII was under development, and that new leaked footage sparked excitement, but only to learn that Free Radical had given up star wars battlefront III because of financial problems. A new Lord Of the Rings game was coming out, developed by Pandemic, the company that made battlefront I and II. But Lord of The Rings failed to catch anyone's eye, and clan support was no where. New hype had interested SOF as well, Killzone 2 became the clans primary focus. Right now SOF is building on the Killzone 2 team. And our first tournament on Killzone 2 was a WIN. We swept our opponents and beat them to the ground. Now we are 4-2 on Killzone 2. We are still trying to get the whole clan figured out on which games we will stick to which leaves me with the end of our Sof history, and that’s only the beginning
